My sincere condolences to all brother firefighters and special condolences to his parents and family. It is always hard to lose a person so young, but it even makes it harder for losing such a young person when he is risking his or her life when helpping others that are strangers to him. I believe God has a special place in heaven for him.

My prayers are with this young man's family and with your department at this tragic time. Take comfort in God, each other, and in the good memories you all share.
To all the members of the McGaheysville Volunteer Fire Company.. Stay strong, lean on each other, be there for our fallen brothers family. And know that your fire service family around this great country of ours has all of you in our prayers. We at Cool Springs VFD have with heavy hearts, walked in the shoes you do now. We lost our brother Lt. Randy Jones in July 2003 to an auto accident responding to a structure fire.
